5 benefits of working with a health coach

  1. You have someone asking the right questions, getting to learn about your individual needs, goals, and specific lifestyle = a personalized approach. Following a diet, trend or something you heard worked for someone else simply isn’t tailored for you.

  2. You don’t have to keep guessing about your health. You can come to someone directly with your questions! Health is so much more than just food and fitness. Sometimes our relationships, job, support system(or lack thereof) even personal beliefs affect our health. It’s about a holistic approach to life, and a coach will look at many different areas of life you may never have thought to look!

  3. According to an American Society of Training & Development study, you are 95% more likely to succeed by simply directing accountability to a third party. Accountability! This is probably one of my favorite reasons for a health coach. Challenges come up with any goal you set. The good thing about having a coach is you are not on this journey alone. You have someone checking in on you, creating goals with you, analyzing barriers, and finding solutions to help you get to where you want to be.

  4. Your coach wants to instill sustainable lifestyle habits that will stick with you for the rest of your life. It’s an incredible short-term investment for long-term returns. This means you’ll be hitting your goals and staying healthy way after your coaching.

  5. Your healthcare resources only have so much time. You see the doctor a couple of times a year and you get the generic, “eat better and move more.” Sounds great, but how likely are you to take that advice without guidance, goal setting, and accountability? While a health coach isn’t here to diagnose you or treat you, we are here to implement health strategies so that the next time you see your doctor, they will notice your progress!
